Sound familiar?
01
The drive just died
Years of records, photos or job files on a drive that suddenly won't mount — and no backup.
02
Ransomware note on the screen
Files encrypted, deadline ticking, and no idea whether paying even gets them back.
03
RAID false confidence
The NAS was 'redundant' — until a second disk failed during the rebuild.
How kotrix.IT does it
Free assessment first: we diagnose the failure and quote before any recovery work — no data, no fee on standard jobs. Logical recoveries happen in-house; physical/clean-room cases go to a specialist lab partner with your approval. Ransomware cases get containment first, then recovery from shadow copies, backups or decryption where feasible. Every job ends with a backup plan so there's no second time.

Frequently asked questions
What should I do right now?
Power the device off and stop using it. Every write, reboot or 'repair' attempt overwrites recoverable data. Don't run recovery software on a clicking drive — bring it in as-is.
What are the odds you get my data back?
Logical failures (deletion, corruption, formatting): very high. Physical failures: good, depending on damage. We give you an honest probability with the free diagnostic — before you spend anything.
Should we pay a ransomware demand?
Almost never, and we'll help you avoid it — payment funds the next attack and roughly 1 in 4 payers never get working keys. We exhaust shadow copies, backups and known decryptors first, and help with ACSC reporting.
Is my data kept confidential?
Yes — recovered data is handled under a confidentiality agreement, stored encrypted during the job, and wiped from our systems after handover. We can sign your NDA too.
